That's right...after much debate we have officially decided on a name for Baby K :) I am so glad we can finally call him by his name. I have really liked the name Reid for a long time and Bill picked out Joseph because we both had a grandfather named Joseph. So we are continuing the trend of an individual/unique first name and then a family tie for the middle name. Nolan is now calling his little brother "Baby Reid" when he kisses my tummy at night and tells him goodnight and that he loves him...just precious to this mommy's ears :)natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-79253766601013226032010-03-12T18:16:00.000-08:002010-03-12T18:23:23.903-08:00Pink or Blue?I think blue is twice as nice :) Nolan has been convinced for the last month or so that he is going to have a little "brofer." So much relief when we found out he was getting his wish :) More importantly, Baby Boy is doing great and everything looked fabulous on his ultrasound today. We are absolutely thrilled to be adding another little man to our family! Now the great name debate begins....all input is welcome because we can't agree on boy names at all! And...Nolan wants to name the baby, "Nolan Del Brofer"...we've got some work to do!natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-26445655349350627902009-05-15T11:01:00.001-07:002010-03-06T06:38:15.509-08:00ParadisePretty soon my wonderful hubby and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary. WOW...I can't even believe that we have been married for that long. I feel like it was just yesterday that it was our beautiful wedding day. I am so blessed to have such a fabulous hubby and a beautiful family. We had been trying to decide how to celebrate this blessed anniversary for quite awhile. We tossed around a couple of ideas, but one night he surprised me that he had booked a trip to the Bahamas for us. I have always wanted to stay at the Atlantis resort so that is where we decided to stay. Oh, my, gosh!! If you have ever the opportunity to go there, you HAVE to Go. It is absolutely beautiful and my pictures definitely do not do it justice. We had such a great time and I even convinced him to get on some of the water slides with me. He wouldn't do the wild and crazy ones, but it was a milestone to say the least. I can't wait until Nolan is big enough for us to take him there, too. It is such a wonderful family vacation spot!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SnyNQN4xZNI/AAAAAAAAAPk/12dG71MxLmU/s200/DSC01915.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367320165663990994" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SnyNP5owvrI/AAAAAAAAAPc/tt90gs-8A_c/s200/DSC01942.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367320160228130482" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SnyNPvLemtI/AAAAAAAAAPU/QNPpy_V-9yo/s200/DSC01938.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367320157420952274" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SnyNPDYcwrI/AAAAAAAAAPM/C0hiXeLkmIs/s200/DSC01901.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367320145664197298" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SnyNOz6S8AI/AAAAAAAAAPE/1_X27AJVG9o/s200/DSC01953.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367320141511192578" />
natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-52783370793829724012009-04-20T10:57:00.001-07:002009-08-20T11:51:52.698-07:00Orange and White GameSo it's time once again for the Orange and White Game. This used to not be such a big deal when we lived in TN, but now that we are out of state we miss out on all of the TN football frenzy. Bill was super excited (big surprise..we all know his love of TN football) to see the new coaches (me, too actually) so we drove A LOT to see this spring game. First, on Friday we drove to my parents house in E-Town and spent the night. Then we got up early and met our good friends in Bristol. We made the drive to Knoxville and introduced our friends to the fine dining of Louie's Restaurant....YUMMY!! I really miss that place. Then we headed to campus, got a great parking spot, headed over to Fan Day for a little bit, and then we met up with some of our dear college friends...love and miss you all :(, went to see the Vol Walk, had a yummy stadium dog, and had a great time at the scrimmage game. Finally, we headed back to E-Town for one more night and returned home on Sunday....whew!! A whole lot of driving, but it was definitely worth it. We had an awesome time with great people and now we are looking forward to a fabulous football season. As always...GO VOLS!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/Snx9I5T1xWI/AAAAAAAAAO8/IyNB_iGQUZs/s200/DSC01870.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367302447695250786" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/Snx9ISCeN9I/AAAAAAAAAO0/zZcWVEr5_hA/s200/DSC01872.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367302437153421266" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/Snx9IEZLWEI/AAAAAAAAAOs/NHpP0b9dTUg/s200/DSC01878.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367302433490556994" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/Snx9HwhilEI/AAAAAAAAAOk/p8UBwWIlFO8/s200/DSC01876.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367302428156924994" />natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-41401683410796453802009-04-13T10:52:00.000-07:002009-08-06T13:30:28.225-07:00Happy Easter!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/Sns7Cg-PdjI/AAAAAAAAAOc/w3n_-LWxJPw/s200/DSC01838.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5366948295338849842" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/Sns7Bxze1QI/AAAAAAAAAOU/lhThgX9gQZQ/s200/DSC01816.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5366948282677253378" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/Sns7BS2hAeI/AAAAAAAAAOM/sOdTEww2FIY/s200/DSC01803.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5366948274368479714" />

What a very special day Easter is around our house. We get the honor of celebrating our risen savior while spending the day with our family. Nolan had a blast, of course. After church he got lots and lots of goodies from the family and went on his very first egg hunt with his cousin, Kay Kay. As you can see the fountain at Mamaw and Papaw's house was the most popular place to put the eggs...even after they had been found somewhere else :)natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-63636125615454340642009-04-11T12:27:00.001-07:002009-08-06T12:32:14.902-07:00Lions, Tigers, and Roo Bear..Oh, my!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SjaPG_hOSnI/AAAAAAAAAOE/QUTa6Ck0ZDI/s320/DSC01784.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347618957841812082" />

On Good Friday we decided to take a family trip to the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens in Columbia, SC. Everyone went, except for my mom..she was stuck at home sick with bronchitis...sorry Nana :( This was Nolan's first trip to the zoo and he absolutely loved it!! He smiled and laughed at the animals, but his favorites were most definitely the giraffes, penguins, and elephants. Then there were his other favorite things...the train ride, the carousel, and of course the ice cream! All in all he had a fantastic day with his family and we can't wait to go back to the zoo again!!natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-3553387872939417952009-03-02T17:58:00.001-08:002009-04-20T15:05:47.524-07:00Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it SnowNow anyone who really knows me is very aware of the fact that I am not a big fan of snow....put me in a warm tropical climate and I am in euphoria. Today, however, was very special because it was the first time that Nolan got to enjoy snow and it was absolutely priceless! Thank goodness he is finally feeling better because we had a blast and from the moment we said "Nolan, look at the snow" he started saying "snow..outside..snow". We had to enjoy it very quickly though because it was gone not long after it arrived....ahhh, my kind of snow after all!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SezYt3csb9I/AAAAAAAAAN8/GG32tw-JaZs/s320/DSC01670.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326870741762469842" />
Nolan and his rosy cheeks after a long morning of playing in the snow.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SezYtrYmcQI/AAAAAAAAAN0/vzPMe02dOgI/s320/DSC01656.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326870738524074242" />
NONO's snow house!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SezYtqxKtII/AAAAAAAAANs/ca-cC1WVYoY/s320/DSC01664.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326870738358678658" />
Nolan trying to figure out how to get the snow off of his mittens.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SezYteW_w2I/AAAAAAAAANk/g0N6fZeWICI/s320/DSC01662.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326870735027684194" />
Hanging out with daddy on a rare day off from work.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SezYtLeaTaI/AAAAAAAAANc/fBXRosgi5fM/s320/DSC01654.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326870729958509986" />
Nolan going for a wagon ride on the golf course.natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-88448389620739186482009-01-21T13:23:00.000-08:002009-04-20T12:01:14.226-07:0018 Month Check-UpA note from Nolan:

Well today was the big 18 month check-up. Needless to say, I am not a big fan of visiting the doctor's office. Fortunately I haven't been there since my 15 month old check-up. So, here are my 18 month old stats: 26 pounds and 32 inches, but I am a solid boy. Mama was convinced that I weighed more than that, but she was wrong :)

I brought along my favorite Curious George book, my trusty trucks, and my Elmo Dr. kit. Dr. Mange liked my doctor's kit...who knows, maybe one day I will really be a doctor, too. But for now I will just stick with my Cookie Monster stethescope. Anyway, my nurse got me back into the exam room really quickly..I know this made mama really happy, too. All in all it wasn't so bad until I had to get my shots...but mama tells me that they help keep me healthy so I guess I will trust her and go along with the torture....until next time.natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-47907164453253544992009-01-16T10:47:00.000-08:002009-04-20T11:56:35.711-07:00Happy 30th Birthday to Bill!Today Bill finally caught up to me and joined the "Fabulous at 30" Club. Happy Birthday sweetie! You are the best hubby and dada in the whole wide world..may your next 30 be just as blessed as the first. Love you always!natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-69196220091446649242009-01-09T11:24:00.000-08:002009-01-31T12:48:59.050-08:00Nolan is 18 months old today!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SYS4WHightI/AAAAAAAAAMs/r45aECSI-sw/s320/DSC01318.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5297561751814964946" />
I can't even believe that my sweet baby boy is actually 18 months old today! When did that happen???? SO many changes have happened in the last 18 months and he still continues to amaze me each day. From the moment he wakes up until the moment he goes to bed at night he is a bundle of energy. He is so full of love, laughter, innocence, persistence, joy, and curiosity. I don't even know what Bill and I did before God gave Nolan to us. While I really miss that little bitty snuggly stage, it is so wonderful to see him grow, change, and learn more about his little world. He is quite a little talkative man. He uses a ton of words, or at least attempts them
(tractor is definitely only understood by mommy and daddy, but it is getting more intelligible). I guess that's what happens with your mommy is a speech therapist. Poor kid..it's almost like a speech session each day for him. He is also saying some two word phrases such as, "two shoes," "hi Nana," and "my bubba". I love hearing his sweet little voice, especially when he says "mama" and comes over and gives me a big hug~oh, there is just nothing better than that (except maybe when he says "wubwubwubu" for "love you", that really pulls at my heart, too). His new thing is to give us "family hugs"....If I say "family hug" he will pull both of us in for a huge bear hug...so charming already :) He definitely has mommy wrapped around his little finger! I am so proud of all his new accomplishments, too. He is trying his hardest to jump..right now it more like a hop, but he keeps trying get both feet off the ground. Also, for the last month or so he has been very interested in the alphabet (he is loving Sesame Street and Super Why). Now he can pick out all the letters when you ask him to and he can name almost all of the letters and/or their sound names. I love helping him learn about the world around him...everything is a new discovery. I know these next 6 months will fly by, too, and before I know it we will be celebrating his 2nd birthday...absolutely amazing!!natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-85366012041843781412008-12-23T11:05:00.001-08:002008-12-23T11:26:22.716-08:00Christmas PicturesSo I am officially a Christmas slacker. Granted..all of my shopping and wrapping is completed and I have done all the necessary arrangements for hosting Christmas dinner here, but I failed to remember one important aspect.. I forgot to schedule Nolan's Christmas photo session until last week. So off we go to Portrait Innovations with an early morning appointment. I thought that I was the only one who failed to schedule Christmas pics, but boy was I wrong..it was packed!! Anyway, next year I will be going with our beloved photographer or maybe even scheduling with a special out of town photographer, i.e. Raven :), but for this year it is what it is. So Nolan did great with the family picture, but he wanted nothing to do with his individual shots. He was totally NOT interested at all in sitting in the chair or looking at the Christmas tree, but he was thoroughly impressed with the empty present boxes..so much so that he barely even looked up from the boxes, much less smiled for the stranger with the camera and the stuffed animal on his head. Anyway, at least the picture selection process was easy since we didn't have many to choose from. So..here are some of the best pictures from this morning :)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SVE43Evw4II/AAAAAAAAAMY/g0okG-bRGqY/s320/0007.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5283066356700340354" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SVE42zOM_sI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/-1a2rGuKAVU/s320/0006.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5283066351996174018" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SVE42kKmalI/AAAAAAAAAMI/9BpIvLCLuAQ/s320/0012.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5283066347954530898" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SVE42XZSiTI/AAAAAAAAAMA/8RRnmhUadbE/s320/0011.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5283066344526481714" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SVE42PTvDdI/AAAAAAAAAL4/_s9el_VOjIg/s320/0009.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5283066342355701202" />natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-51731144037093849322008-12-09T07:45:00.000-08:002008-12-23T11:04:52.396-08:00An Incredible 17 MonthsToday Nolan is officially 17 months old. How in the world did that happen????? I continue to be amazed by him each day. Every day is a new adventure full of laughter and learning, and some tears and boo-boos along the way. I hope that the next 17 months don't go by as quickly as these have...I have enjoyed watching him grow and change and I am looking forward many many more fun-filled days with my little Roo.natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-52908484878674906672008-12-01T09:08:00.000-08:002008-12-01T09:52:16.421-08:00From a Penguin to a LionOk..so here is my belated Halloween post of my little lion. A couple of days before Halloween our church hosted a "Reformation Day" celebration, very similar to a fall festival to give kids a safer alternative to trick-or-treating. The kids are supposed to dress as a favorite Bible character or ark animal. Last year Nolan was an adorable little penguin, but this year he moved up to king of the jungle status. I had his costume picked a long time ago, so starting in early Oct. I began asking him what a lion says. He first looked at me like I was absolutely crazy when I started "roaring," but he quickly became amused and started "roaring" back to me in a sweet little voice. Of course he doesn't always perform on command, especially when others are present (sound familiar to any other mommies??), so getting a video clip is pretty much next to impossible. (BTW- now he not only knows what a lion says, but also a pig, cow, dog, cat, snake, monkey, duck, bear, chicken, horse, and elephant, ok proud mommy moment over :)) So since I didn't have my blog last Halloween I decided to post some old and new costume pictures. It is amazing what a difference a year makes!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 238px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/STQf-WX3l_I/AAAAAAAAALw/AQCWHEKkjns/s320/100_0972.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274876219575736306" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 238px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/STQf-NjsoPI/AAAAAAAAALo/tQVYIMHeqDQ/s320/100_0961.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274876217209430258" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/STQf9kVeNZI/AAAAAAAAALg/F1t0xg652VE/s320/DSC01149.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274876206143911314" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/STQf8k7KDlI/AAAAAAAAALY/33iUaDz6c10/s320/DSC01160.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274876189122104914" />natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-56393654899024460092008-11-27T05:13:00.000-08:002008-11-28T10:35:34.514-08:00HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!Thanksgiving is absolutely one of my most favorite days of the year. You get to spend the day with family and/or friends thanking God for all of your blessings, eat way too much, watch football, and hang out all day just having fun. I know that most of blog friends have done "I am thankful for.." lists, so I thought that it was only appropriate that I should do one, too. Here it goes.... I am Thankful for:

1. God up above...he has provided me with so many blessings: more than I need and certainly more than I deserve.

2. Bill, Nolan, and Riley: my boys mean the world to me and I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband, fabulous son, and quirky dog. I love you all more than you will ever know!I love being surrounded my boys each day.

3. Family/Friends: I thank God everyday for my family and friends. What wonderful people I am blessed with in my life. Even though I don't live close to all those who are my relatives or those that I consider to be family, I think about you all each day and I am so grateful for all of you. And we are looking forward to Nana and Papa moving into their "weekend home" permanently one day.

4. Our Nation/Our Soldiers: What a blessing to live in the US..even though I don't agree with everything that goes on in this country, there is certainly no better place to live. Each day we enjoy freedoms that other people can't even imagine. Thankfully our soldiers fight for our safety and the freedoms we enjoy and too often take for granted. So lets say a special prayer,especially today, for our soldiers and their families and for all they do for us.

5. Laughter/Smiling: Once you have a child, there is an endless supply of laughter and smiling. I really can't imagine my life without my Roo Bear. And Bill is pretty funny, too :)

6. Memories: the good and the bad or sad..each memory and life experience I have had taught me a lesson about who I want to be and who I don't want to be. I am also thankful to all my friends who have provided their love and support in the funny times and the sad times. I will treasure all those experiences forever.

7. Life/Birthdays: ok..so I joined the "30" club on the 22nd and I have to admit that the time leading up to the big day was quite difficult for me. Something about leaving my 20's behind just really stressed me out. But once my big day actually arrived I was ok. I was thankful that God had given me a wonderful 30 years..I have a beautiful and healthy son, a fabulous husband, wonderful family and friends, what more could I possibly need??? So I have decided to fully embrace being "30" and look forward to my next 30 years :)natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-90411885134812492942008-11-09T16:48:00.000-08:002008-11-09T16:52:27.554-08:0016 MonthsOk..so I am really behind on my blogging, but I just had to let everyone know that Nolan is 16 months old today!! He is the joy of my life and I have so much fun with him. He is all boy, but such a sweet little man, too. Bill and I love him more than words can say, so Happy 16 Month Birthday, Nolan :)

We have been extremely busy this fall, but I promise to post some pics from all of our fun adventures very soon!!natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-35602151490993520602008-10-27T17:18:00.000-07:002008-11-01T11:55:01.832-07:00Our little "Weepublican"Today Nolan went with us to vote in his very first official presidential election. After lots of FOX news (Nolan LOVES the theme music for Brit Hume's 6 o'clock news~what can I say, he is his father's child!!) and political talk with Daddy, they cast a vote for their nominee. So here is a picture of Nolan proudly displaying his "I Voted" sticker. Daddy refers to this as Nolan's best impression of an ACORN voter- HA HA ;)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SQykZZbdurI/AAAAAAAAALI/362lTVZf-Ss/s320/DSC01127.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5263762820719033010" />

On a serious note... What a wonderful country we live in and how blessed we are to have our freedom. That was what I was thinking when we went to vote today. So as you vote this year, no matter what your affiliation, let's all continue to pray for our nation's leaders and the men and women who fight for our freedom everyday. God Bless America!natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-53127809511275205702008-10-20T11:59:00.000-07:002008-10-28T16:49:08.747-07:00The Pumpkin PatchNolan has really been into pumpkins lately. His Nana and Papa brought him a big pumpkin a couple of weeks ago and he constantly points and talks to the pumpkin. He even turns to the orange page in his Baby Colors book to find the pumpkin. So of course on Saturday we had to take a little trip to the pumpkin patch. Although it was quite the drive out in the country,Patterson Farm, was well worth the drive. It is such a fabulous place for little ones and next year I know Nolan will have even more fun at the playground and the petting zoo. All this going on and Nolan's favorite was definitely the tractor ride. He had so much fun on the hayride and he kept pointing to the big tractor and saying "ta", which is his word for "truck," "tractor," "car," "train," anything that moves. He also had so much fun toddling through the pumpkin patch and talking to all the pumpkins. In the end Nolan ended up picking out a little pumpkin that is just the right size for him to carry around. He loves to carry his little pumpkin around the house~it really is so sweet!! So here are some pictures from Nolan's big adventure to Patterson Farm and his new little pumpkin!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SQejw_77pFI/AAAAAAAAALA/T6bWG9EfuV8/s320/DSC01082.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262354751797568594" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SQejwivBpAI/AAAAAAAAAK4/63XNTUlFHPk/s320/DSC01080.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262354743958807554" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SQejwKWpNKI/AAAAAAAAAKw/vQdguBbzH7s/s320/DSC01074.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262354737414091938" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SQejv80N5NI/AAAAAAAAAKo/B_nqq1DQKRs/s320/DSC01067.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262354733780034770" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SQejvWW7baI/AAAAAAAAAKg/DI_MMaiNnHw/s320/DSC01064.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262354723456642466" />natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-41628235538564714672008-10-09T05:33:00.000-07:002008-10-09T05:45:51.623-07:0015 Months OldNolan is officially 15 months old today. I am completely in disbelief. These past 15 months have gone by so incredibly fast and his whole little life just seems like a whirlwind of fun and fond memories. I do find myself coping better with these monthly birthdays than I did before he turned "1", so I feel like that is a huge accomplishment for me :) Now, we celebrate each new month with joy and anticipation of what's to come. He surprises me each day with something new. A new word, a new funny antic, a new favorite, or simply a hug and a kiss. Hugs and kisses are certainly my favorite though. I love how he comes over to me when it is time to go to bed and gives me a big snuggle and a smile before he toddles over to the door to go to his room. And I love this cuddly phase he is in right now. Granted this could totally be because he is teething and just needs some extra TLC from his mommy right now, but I don't care... I love it anyway :)

So to celebrate his 15 month birthday we are going to go to Monkey Joe's with his best buddy who is celebrating his 13 month old birthday today. It should be a lot of fun. These two little men have a ton of energy and love to play with one another!! It is such a rainy and yucky day AGAIN today (where is the beautiful fall weather I love so much????) so it is the perfect kind of day to go somewhere fun and play indoors. I'm sure I will have some very cute pics of the boys after our day is finished :)natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-44586116080492779642008-09-30T17:19:00.001-07:002008-09-30T17:20:56.855-07:00Tagged Take 2Ok .. maybe one of my tagged facts should be that I am NOT computer minded at all, but for some reason the tagged picture doesn't automatically appear~ you have to click on the X in the window to view the tag information. I CAN'T stand feet (except for Nolan's sweet little tootsie toes, of course). They have always grossed me out. I don't even like it when Bill puts his feet anywhere on me when we are lounging on the couch. I think Bill definitely gets the better end of this deal because he never has to give foot massages or pay for pedicures.

2. I eat one thing at a time. While others take a bite of chicken and then a bite of potatoes, I tend to eat all my chiken first and then eat my potatoes. Strange I know. I have strived very hard to not pass this eating habit along to Nolan. So I make a conscious effort to always offer him more than one thing at a time or, god forbid, mix up his food a little bit. It has been a challenge, but I think I am doing quite well :) I also HATE for the food on my plate to touch (maybe this should be #3). Nothing grosses me out more for my food to "run" into other food items. My dad even bought me Corelle divided plates when I moved into my own apartment in grad school, and if Bill hadn't made me get rid of them when we got married I would probably still be using them today.

3. I take a ton of pictures on my digital camera and then I never seem to get around to having them printed. That annoys me!! I need to work on this one ;)

4. I don't like to stay by myself at night. This kind of surprises me since I used to live by myself in grad school and it was never an issue. Maybe it is because we live out in the country on a golf course and I never ever know what creatures and criters are out in the woods. Bill found a snake (my biggest fear ever!!!) hanging out on the glass panes on our front door one night right after we moved in. I was 7 months pregnant and he showed it to me (as if I really needed to see it) and I just stood there crying/screaming and running in place like an idiot. Then I couldn't sleep that night thinking the snake was going to get into the house somehow. Hence my theory as to why I don't like to stay by myself at night now.

5. I can't walk in a straight line. Not even kidding. I bump into doorways, the foot board, the kitchen island, etc. Probably explains why I wasn't very good on the balance beam, but loved the floor when I took gymnastics many, many moons ago.

6. I HATE to sweat!! And I hate it during the summer when you get ready and then you go outside and immediately start sweating. Also, probably why I never run. I wish I liked to sweat and run, but I kind of adopted a policy a long time ago that I wouldn't be running unless someone was chasing me. Fortunately that has never happened so I just don't do it.

7. I secretly enjoy watching kid shows, playing with toys, and just doing kid stuff in general. Having a toddler is great because you get to relive your childhood all over. I love watching Super Why, Thomas, and Sesame Street with Nolan. We took him to ride on Thomas last Friday (pictures to come) and it was really a lot of fun despite all the rain. I have so many other adventures that I can't wait to do with my little man.

I am tagging: Jennifer, Alyssa, Allison, Angy, and Meredith.

I am breaking the tag 7 people rule because all of my other blog friends have already been tagged and they don't need to repeat the process :)natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-1223003363803328162008-09-11T17:00:00.000-07:002008-09-11T17:05:24.610-07:00Gone But Not ForgottenI can hardly believe 7 years have passed since 9.11.2001. Just as many of you, I will never forget that day and its impact on our nation. May we all say a special prayer for the families of the victims, our leaders, and the brave men and women who fight for our safety and freedom everyday. May God bless you this day and always.natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-53030236669977700492008-09-09T04:49:00.000-07:002008-09-10T07:13:08.412-07:0014 Months in a Wobbly WorldToday Nolan is 14 months old!! It feels like it was just yesterday I was posting his 1st birthday pics and now 2 months later he has changed so much. He is learning more and more words. The newest favorites are "cookie" and "cracker"~ his little voice is so adorable!!! His receptive language and comprehension is fabulous as well. He is following so many directions and has been pointing to objects in books that we ask him to for the longest time. His little vocabulary is just amazing~ as a speech therapist I have an understanding of how children develop their language skills, but to get a front row seat each and every day is a totally different story :)

And of course we have all learned the true meaning of a "toddler". He is walking around everywhere!!! He went so quickly from being timid about walking and just taking a few steps here and there to being a full blown walking machine :) Along with this new adventure comes some ups and downs, literally. For instance, on the eve of his 14 month birthday I wasn't feeling all that well so I was downstairs in our bedroom and Bill and Nolan were upstairs in the bonus room which is directly above our bedroom. All of a sudden I hear a loud thump and immediate cries. I of course spring into panic mode and run upstairs to survey the damage. I open the door to the bonus room and find Bill holding Nolan and blood spewing from Nolan's mouth. WHAT?!?!?! Ok..so this is our first experience with blood and I try not to totally freak out. Nolan is screaming and crying and reaching for mama so we rush him to the bathroom and begin the calming/examination process. Turns out Nolan took a little wobbly spill and hit his mouth on his little tent/fort toy. I think he also bit his lip in the process. My poor little Roo :( After we calmed him down and stopped the bleeding the world was ok again. He drank some more milk and we attempted to put an ice pack on his new injury. BTW- I read in a magazine that a mom put the salad dressing, etc. packs from fast food restaurants in the freezer to use as ice packs because they are the perfect size. Bill laughed at me when he initially found little frozen salad dressing packs in the freezer, but now he knows you never know when you will need them :) So needless to say Nolan has a fat lip on his 14 month birthday, but it certainly hasn't slowed him down one bit at all and we all survived our first bloody experience- unfortunately I have a feeling this is just the first of many with my active and adventurous little Roo.natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-61805811809988192008-09-02T12:18:00.001-07:002008-09-02T12:24:08.992-07:00Just a Few MoreOk..so indulge me with one more proud mommy moment. We went to Davidson College and found all the beautiful spots on campus to capture this point and time in our little man's life. This first year has been truly amazing and I thank God each day that he chose me to be Nolan's mommy. I wanted to share a few of my favorite pictures with everyone.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SL2QihI4uHI/AAAAAAAAAGY/3_vLgqw0P50/s320/Kearney,+Nolan+010b.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241504464014719090" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SL2Qi1Jlg2I/AAAAAAAAAGg/TIYT0aq2vtE/s320/Kearney,+Nolan+014.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241504469386363746" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SL2Qi23ldsI/AAAAAAAAAGo/uzudGgDzrVA/s320/Kearney,+Nolan+021.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241504469847733954" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SL2QjJkQj9I/AAAAAAAAAGw/xY4D2o5qxnQ/s320/Kearney,+Nolan+108b.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241504474866946002" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OINvMsdPNzU/SL2QjcixZ6I/AAAAAAAAAG4/zMSdLLThQ0I/s320/Kearney,+Nolan+196.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241504479960983458" />natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289807859635562193.post-21498682612804755072008-08-26T07:11:00.001-07:002008-08-27T07:21:26.480-07:00Long Time No BlogHas it really been almost a month since I posted on this blog???? Sorry for the absence. August has truly been a crazy, hectic month. I definitely have a lot to update everyone on, but first Nolan and I want to wish a Happy 1st Birthday to Emory and Everett!!! Welcome to the toddler club :)

We have had such a busy and exciting month of August and I promise to post some long overdue pics in my next blog. For starters, Bill started a new job on August 1st. After over 3 years at SunTrust and a lot of thought and prayer, he decided to continue his mortgage career at Chase Mortgage. I am so very proud of him and I am so grateful for all he does for our family. Our basement project is 99% complete. YAY!!!! I promise to post some before and after pics once we are at 100%. Right now the painter is doing some touch-up work and a portion of the wood floors needs to be corrected. A couple of weeks ago the boys (i.e., Bill, my dad, and Neal~ thanks guys!!) moved all the office furniture from the upstairs bonus room to the new office in the basement. Then I moved all of my speech therapy materials down there later in the week..WHEW!! Glad that is over. I didn't realize how much stuff you gather over 5 years!!! Anyway, now Nolan has his new play room upstairs and he is loving it. No more playing around the office desk :) All I have to do is find some cute animal decorations for his play room and buy one more storage unit for all of his toys. We are getting there though :) Back to the basement..the tv arrived this week and we are anxiously awaiting the new sectional we ordered. Then all I have to do is decorate :(

We have also had an extremely busy, but fun social calendar. We have had 2 family birthdays, Happy Birthday to Mamaw Kearney and Aunt Stacey, an extended family member's college graduation~ Congrats Uncle Dave, 2 baby showers for my friends, Leslie and Abby, having twins!! Yep, that's right: a set of girls and a set of boys. We can't wait to meet Ava, Isabella, Caden, and Max!! I have a feeling we will be having lots of fun playdates in the future!! A long overdue TN trip while Bill was in Tampa for job training, a new job adventure for me (more to come later), and most importantly of all.....Nolan is officially a walker!!! YAY!! Again happy, but sad for mommy!! I know I did a previous post about Nolan walking, but of course after I told everyone about his first steps, he decided to be a little lazy. He crawls at warp speed and decided that crawling was a much faster means to an end for him. Anyway, at 13 months he is official and we are so very proud of him (I promise to attempt to post a video soon). Needless to say we have been busy, but I have some very cute pics of all of our adventures that I will post very soon. Now we are looking forward to Labor Day weekend and of course the UT game on Monday~ GO VOLS!!!natasha-nolanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02959507679803528618noreply@blogger.com2
